委内瑞拉著名电影人Román Chalbaud的《El Pez que fuma》被国家电影协会评为委内瑞拉影史10部最佳影片的第二位。
A handsome young man is released from jail and goes to "El Pez que Fuma", a bordello in the outskirts of Caracas. La Garza, its middle-aged owner,...展开hires the young man as handy man, but soon he takes the place of the administrator, who is also La Garza's lover.
One of the ten best Venezuelan movies of all the time. This is the best Venezuelan film of all times and one of the best Latin American movies ever, it explains the social and moral reality of a bunch of people trying to survive in this political corrupted south American country in the 70's decade."El Pez Que Fuma" has an awesome story so it keeps the audience focused on the movie from start to end. The characters are just great since they are played for excellent actors ( Miguel Landa, Orlando Urdaneta), who after the popularity of the movie became a big great reference of the Venezuelan Film history. I definitely think this is the best work that a Venezuelan film maker could have ever done.
